Office Christmas Party Bonus

When you have your next office party for Christmas, change it up and help out others.

When you post the information for your Christmas party, announce to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, or other local charity.

Now you get to give a wonderful gift to those who really need it and you don't have to accept or bring home something that you really don't want.

Promotion Strategies

Don’t think about a promotion or a raise when you really need it. If you can start planning well in advance.

A small amount of extra work could actually net you more money in the long run. Take on the next big project to show your boss that you can really shine.

As you are working, take a look at the work that you do. Do you do what is in your job description, if not, what do you need to add?

Make a list. Also make a list of your accomplishments and memorize it.

When the big day approaches and you are ready to meet with the powers that be, let them know of all of your accomplishments for the company.

It may be as simple as good attendance, or as grand as saving the company money for ideas that you have implemented.

As always go for the gold! If you are making $50,000 a year, don’t be bashful and ask for $60,000.

It is a good starting point and it can always be negotiated down a bit and everyone can leave a winner.
