Easy Donations
I keep an extra basket, box or bag in the garage next to my car. Whenever I am cleaning the house and I find something that we don't use anymore I drop it in. Once the basket or bag gets full I place it in the back of my car and drop it off at the local charity office. It is a great way to clean clutter immediately and help out others while you are doing it.

Along with the box put a piece of paper & pen so you can write the item down and donation value. The place you donate to will not make you a list but you will have it done when you pick up the box to deliver it. Put the paper into your income tax file and you will be ready with dates, items and values for donations.
